On the afternoon of August 30, the closing ceremony of the 2024 Sino-German Students Academic Summer Camp (Hefei University--Emden-Leer University of Applied Sciences) was held at HFU. Wang Qidong, Chair of the University Council, attended the ceremony and presented certificates of completion to all the camp members.
During the camp, Chinese and German students visited high-tech enterprises, research institutes, and renowned universities in Hefei. They exchanged ideas in academic projects, and experienced the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture, which has greatly broadened their horizon and built a bridge of friendship between them.
Wang Qidong spoke highly of the activity, hoping that the students could cherish this valuable experience and turn what they learned to a positive force to promote the friendship and cooperation between China and Germany.
This summer camp is not only an important opportunity for Chinese students to improve their language proficiency and enhance their project-based learning abilities, but also a unique approach for German students to gaining a deeper understanding of China, and experiencing Chinese culture and social development. Through this series of activities, they have enhanced mutual understanding and respect and established profound friendship. Simultaneously, the successful holding of the summer camp also opened up new opportunities between HFU and Emden-Leer University of Applied Sciences in talent training and industry-university-research cooperation, contributing to enhancing the mutual friendly relations.
